A medical implement dispensing and disposal system is configured for mountingwithin an interior of an enclosure having a first opening for receiving soiledmedical implements and a second opening for dispensing medical implements. Thesystem comprises a dispensing chamber configured to be substantially enclosedwithin the interior of the enclosure and removed from the interior of theenclosure. The dispensing chamber is configured to contain medical implementsand has an access opening for passage of medical implements from thedispensing chamber. The access opening is positioned for alignment with thesecond opening of the enclosure to facilitate passage of medical implementsfrom the enclosure. The system further comprises a disposal chamber configuredto be substantially enclosed within the interior of the enclosure adjacent thedispensing chamber and removed from the interior of the enclosure. Thedisposal chamber is further configured to collect soiled medical implementsand has an inlet opening for passage of soiled medical implements into thedisposal chamber. The inlet opening is positioned for alignment with the firstopening of the enclosure to facilitate passage of soiled medical implementsinto the enclosure.
