PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image processing apparatus in which a pointer can be moved easily between a plurality of images which are displayed while being superimposed in a depth direction.SOLUTION: A control unit 14 of a medical image processing apparatus comprises an image generation section 31 and a pointer control section 32. The image generation section 31 generates a superimposed image on which a rendering image which is generated by performing rendering processing on volume data, and an image of a pointer are superimposed while considering depth information.
