[Problem] To provide an absorbent article that is easy to pull up when wearing and can secure space for absorption of bodily fluids. [Solution] An absorbent article (10) includes an absorbent core (31) and side flaps (15) that extend outward of the absorbent core in the width direction. The total length, in the front-rear direction, of the absorbent core is divided into three so as to comprise a region, a crotch region, and a rear region. In the crotch region, the side flaps have a dimension of 30 mm or longer in the width direction. The crotch region (R13) has a center region (R13C) and side regions (R13S) that are positioned outside both sides of the center region in the width direction. Both outside edges of the center region have low basis-weight portions (33) provided along the front-rear direction. The center region has a front-rear contractive force that is higher than the front-rear contractive force of the side regions.
