PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving wetting of a contact lens and enhancing wetting properties and to obtain a composition for contact lenses by enhancing wetting properties of the contact lens to reduce injuries to cornea and tunica during putting on the contact lens and suppress uncomfortable feeling during putting on the contact lens.SOLUTION: The wetting properties of the contact lens are improved or enhanced by compounding sorbic acid or its salt and/or ketotifen or its salt in the composition.
