The invention relates to a device for fixing a hand of a patient, wherein a holding strap encompasses (encloses) the body of a patient, and a respective hand comes to lie on a substantially rectangular support panel with a proximal and a distal short side, the short side is in the range of the width of a hand, and the long side is longer than the length of a hand, and releasable hand-fastening tabs in the area of the proximal side and at least one loop which is designed to receive the holding strap and which can be arranged (is secured) on the distal side of the support panel.
