PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine biofouling prevention device and a marine biofouling prevention method for boats and ships, capable of preventing adhesion and growing of marine organisms in a sea-water intake box, which takes in cooling water for an air conditioner.SOLUTION: A marine biofouling prevention device 30 has: a chemical-solution pipe 43 having a chemical-solution tank 45 and a chemical-solution pump 41 distribution pipes 59 branched from the chemical-solution pipe 43 and respectively connected to a plurality of sea-water intake boxes electromagnetic valves 51, 52, 53 and 54 respectively provided at distribution pipes 59 and a control unit 32 which controls driving of the chemical-solution pump 41 and opening/closing driving of the electromagnetic valves at respectively set time points. The control unit 32 is connected to an air-conditioner control board 110 through a control signal line.
