A hydrophilic polyurethane is a star-shaped block polyurethane obtained by reacting a first polyether polyol with a polyisocyanate followed by reaction with a second polyether polyol and hyaluronic acid, wherein the first polyether polyol contains at least three terminal hydroxyl groups. This invention further provides a hydrophilic polyurethane foaming body which is obtained by foaming the hydrophilic polyurethane as described above and a foaming component, and the pores are non-continuous closed pores. This invention further provides a wet wound dressing comprising a sheet-like absorbent layer made of the hydrophilic polyurethane or the hydrophilic polyurethane foam as described above.
