PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dialysis agent which suppresses inconveniences due to variation in amount of components contained in granules while improving production efficiency, and also to provide a method for producing the dialysis agent.
SOLUTION: The dialysis agent is a mixture of granules containing sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, and sodium acetate as components. The weight ratio m of the components calculated on the basis of the weights of respective components within the granules is determined by formula: m=(Ma+Mb)/(Mc+Md+Me), wherein Ma is the weight of sodium chloride, Mb is the weight of potassium chloride, Mc is the weight of calcium chloride, Md is the weight of magnesium chloride, and Me is the weight of sodium acetate (where the weights of the components are on anhydrous basis) to set the weight ratio m of the dialysis agent to 0.5 to 6.
