PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the distributions of biological components in the shallow and deep parts of a subject by making NIRS measurements over a distance between a plurality of light sources and a detector at multiple measuring points while keeping the light sources and the light detector out of contact with the subject, and selecting and using predetermined measuring points.SOLUTION: A biological measurement apparatus includes a light source for applying light to a subject, a light detector for detecting the light propagating through the subject, light blocking means for blocking the light impinging on the light detector from a position other than a predetermined detection point, a control unit for controlling the light source and the light detector, and an analysis unit for calculating light absorption characteristics within the subject. The light source and the light detector are arranged out of contact with the subject. The control unit detects a plurality of signals produced by the light transmitted through different paths within the subject. The analysis unit selects predetermined signals from the plurality of signals obtained by the light detector, and calculates the light absorption characteristics within the subject using the signals selected.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 光源、光検出器を非接触としながら、多計測点において複数の光源-検出器間距離でNIRS計測を実施し、所定の計測点を選択し使用することで被験者の浅部及び深部における生体成分の分布を計測すること。【解決手段】 被験者に光を照射するための光源と、被験者内を伝播した光を検出するための光検出器と、所定の検出点以外の位置から前記光検出器に入射する光を遮蔽するための光遮蔽手段と、光源及び光検出器を制御する制御部と、被験者内の光吸収特性を算出する解析部を有し、光源と光検出器は被験者に対して非接触に配置され、制御部は、照射点もしくは検出点を随時変化させることにより、光検出器は被験者内の異なる経路を透過した光による複数の信号を検出し、解析部は、光検出器で得られる複数の信号のうち所定の信号を選択し、選択した信号を用いて被験者内の光吸収特性を算出する。【選択図】 図1
