To provide a device for estimating finger joint position, estimating easily and accurately estimating the position of a finger joint and a method for estimating finger joint position using the finger joint position estimating device.
SOLUTION: The device for estimating finger joint position includes: measuring terminals disposed ON a finger bone at the distal end side and ON a finger bone at the root of a finger with a joint of the finger in-between in the longitudinal direction of the finger and a measuring portion estimating the position of the joint by acquiring and analyzing motion data from the measuring terminals. The accuracy in estimating the position of the joint by the finger joint position estimating device is improved by selecting and analyzing specific data from the motion data obtained from the measuring terminals at the measuring position and the device for estimating finger joint position is used in the method for estimating finger joint position.
