PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medical image generating device and program capable of creating an integrated cross-sectional image from which a tissue region to be diagnosed or used for other purposes can be drawn without being affected by the size or shape of the tissue region.SOLUTION: A first color specification value function f1 that specifies the correspondence between CT values and density values and a first opacity function g1 that specifies the correspondence between CT values and opacities are applied to CT image data to create first cross-sectional image data. A second color specification value function f2 that specifies the correspondence between MRI signal strength values and color specification values and a second opacity function g2 that specifies the correspondence between MRI signal strength values and opacities are applied to MRI image data to create second cross-sectional image data. The first cross-sectional image data and the second cross-sectional image data are integrated in a common coordinate system to create integrated cross-sectional image data.
