PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that there is no sulky type seedling transplanter with the decreased front and rear length good in operating efficiency though there are conventional sulky type seedling transplanters of various forms having reserve seedling carrying platforms mounted thereon. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter is obtained by installing reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 capable of changing and regulating the state from a housed state in which the front and rear length is decreased to a seedling-carrying operating state in which the front and rear length is increased in a sulky type traveling vehicle 1 or arranging the reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 at the front of the sulky type traveling vehicle 1, locating the reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 at nearly the same position as that of the front of the sulky type traveling vehicle 1 in a housed state when viewed from the side of the machine body and forwardly protruding the reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 from the front of the sulky type traveling vehicle 1 in a seedling-carrying operating state or connecting the front of the reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 to the rear thereof and simultaneously changing the positions or installing the reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 on the front side of a maneuvering seat 43 of the sulky type traveling vehicle 1 when viewed from the side of the machine body and changing the positions of at least the rears of the reserve seedling-carrying platforms 70 in the sulky type seedling transplanter comprising a seedling planting device 46 mounted on the sulky type traveling vehicle 1.
