Disclosed herein is a method for synthesis of nickel oxide nanoparticles using controlled steady state -radiolysis in presence of one each among a reducing agent, a stabilizing agent and a capping agent, in which improvements were majorly characterized in implementation at room temperature that resulted in a uniformly sized product having significantly improved size distribution, dispersion, and phase purity as compared to state-of-art processes for chemical synthesis of nickel oxide nanoparticles.
