The needle portion extends distal from the probe body and includes a transverse tissue receiving aperture. The hollow cutter is translatable relative to the needle portion to cut out a tissue sample from the tissue protruding through the aperture. Hollow cutters define the cutter lumens. The tissue sample holder includes a body and a tissue sample tray. The tissue sample tray includes a lumen extending downwardly and removably engaged with the body.
