The present invention achieves a tablet cassette with which irregularly-shaped tablets or half tablets can still be handled with ease, as with regularly-shaped tablets. A tablet cassette (270) is provided with a drop prevention mechanism (280) for preventing surplus tablets from dropping down to a discharge port (228). The drop prevention mechanism (280) has a round belt (281) provided above the discharge port (228) and to a position higher than a barrier wall (225). The drop prevention mechanism (280) is configured so that surplus tablets, that have come out on top of one tablet storage section (226) out of a plurality of tablet storage sections that has come to the position closest to the discharge port (228) due to rotation of a rotor (290), come into contact with the round belt (281) causing the round belt to deform, which produces a repellent force that presses the surplus tablets to the rotor (290) side thereby preventing the surplus tablets from dropping down to the discharge port (228).
