PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric apparatus which is downsized as a whole and by which a user can easily measure and evaluate his or her body shape.SOLUTION: The biometric apparatus is provided with a body shape image acquisition means for acquiring the body shape image of a user when viewing the user from an upper direction or a lower direction, and a body shape evaluation means for evaluating the body shape of the user on the basis of the body shape image acquired by the body shape image acquisition means. Also, the body shape image acquisition means acquires the body shape image of the user on the upper surface of an apparatus body from the upper surface side.
