PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carotenoid-containing composition that has excellent stability and is useful for skin by preventing aging and preventing or improving skin discoloration.SOLUTION: This invention provides a composition, a skin external preparation, and cosmetics comprising a carotenoid such as astaxanthin and isopropanol, and a carotenoid degradation inhibition method by means of the specific oil solution.
