An injection device for delivering a liquid composition comprises a generally elongate housing 2 arranged to hold a replaceable cartridge 3 containing a liquid composition. The housing comprises a drive and a plunger rod connected to the drive and connected to the plunger in the cartridge when the cartridge is held in the housing for driving the plunger in the cartridge. The plunger comprises a rod connector 7 connected to the front end 8 of the plunger rod. The rod connector has an inlet opening formed by the wall section of the rod connector and the width of the inlet opening is smaller than the width of the front end.
