PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling vegetable pest insects, which controls pest insects of plants, by using a blast-type pest insect control apparatus so as to efficiently obtain satisfactory control effects.SOLUTION: The method for controlling vegetable pest insects comprises using the blast type insect pest control apparatus 1 with which an apparatus body 10 is equipped with a blower 11 and a medicine support 12 and releasing air containing an insect pest control component from a discharge opening 13.
