At least one sensor (23) is provided to detect a first tailgate position (S1) after bale formation cycle and a second tailgate position (S2) after the binding cycle. A controller (24) responsive to at least one sensor (23) to determine a tailgate position change (ΔS) between the second tailgate position (S2) and the first tailgate position (S1). The controller (24) is configured to display the tailgate position change (ΔS) in an indicating unit (26). The controller (24) selectively actuates the opening of the tailgate (22).
