The present invention relates to a method of preparing a feed additive composition comprising: a. physically and/or chemically and/or biologically treating lignocellulosic biomass；and b. admixing the physically and/or chemically and/or biologically treated lignocellulosic biomass from step a. with at least one in-feed glycosyl hydrolase enzyme, c. and optionally packaging. The present invention further relates to a feed additive composition or a feed ingredient comprising a physically and/or chemically and/or biologically treated lignocellulosic biomass in combination with at least one in-feed glycosyl hydrolase enzyme and use of said feed additive composition or feed ingredient to improving a biophysical characteristic of an animal.L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une composition d'additif alimentaire comprenant les étapes suivantes : a. traitement physique et/ou chimique et/ou biologique d'une biomasse lignocellulosique； b. mélange de la biomasse lignocellulosique soumise au traitement physique et/ou chimique et/ou biologique à l'étape a. à au moins une enzyme glycosyl hydrolase alimentaire； c. et optionnellement conditionnement. La présente invention concerne par ailleurs une composition d'additif alimentaire ou un ingrédient alimentaire comprenant une biomasse lignocellulosique soumise à un traitement physique et/ou chimique et/ou biologique et combinée à au moins une enzyme glycosyl hydrolase alimentaire, et l'utilisation de ladite composition d'additif alimentaire ou dudit ingrédient alimentaire pour améliorer les caractéristiques biophysiques d'un animal.
