This utility model relates to a method for gynecological pap smear that is manually done to thereby allow it to be conducted in areas without commercial power, and consequently reduce cost of the procedure. And with the use of locally available and cheap reagents, the cost is further reduced. The method comprises the steps of collecting sample from the vaginal tract of a patient, dropping the sample into a specimen vial containing locally available ethanol setting aside the specimen vial for a period of time, subjecting the specimen vial to a vortex, transferring the specimen in a centrifuge tube, subjecting the centrifuge tube to a centrifuge procedure, decanting the centrifuge tube to remove the liquid component, adding reagent to the centrifuge tube, subjecting the centrifuge to another centrifuge procedure, decanting the liquid component, adding reagent to the cell button, subjecting the centrifuge tube to another vortex, placing an aliquot on a glass slide, heating the glass slide to dry, allowing the heated glass slide to cool off, staining the glass slide using Papanicoulau Stain protocol, and applying cover slip to the glass slide for a pathologist to read and interpret a result.
