PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new crystal of 5-aminolevulinic acid phosphate having high heat stability, a high melting point and excellent hygroscopicity resistance and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The 5-aminolevulinic acid phosphate has characteristic peaks at 7.9°±0.2°, 15.8°±0.2°, 18.9°±0.2°, 20.7°±0.2°, 21.1°±0.2°, 21.4°±0.2°, 22.9°±0.2°, 33.1°±0.2° and 34.8°±0.2° as diffraction angle 2&theta by powder X-ray diffraction.
