The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating diseases induced by side effects of an anticancer drug, comprising an extract of Phragmites communis Trin. as an effective component. According to the present invention, the extract of Phragmites communis Trin., has an effect of significantly restoring an anticancer drug-induced decrease in a hematopoietic stem cell colony when administered to mouse marrow cells, and has an effect of significantly restoring anticancer drug-induced myelosuppression in an animal model induced with myelosuppression via intraperitoneal injection of the anticancer drug. Accordingly, the extract of Phragmites communis Trin. of the present invention can be beneficially used as a composition for preventing, alleviating, and treating diseases induced by side effects of an anticancer drug, and has the potential of enhancing the effects of an anticancer drug by being co-administered as an anticancer adjuvant with the anticancer drug.본 발명은 노근(PhragmitescommunisTrin.) 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항암제 부작용에 의한 질환의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 노근 추출물을 마우스의 골수 세포에 처리한 결과, 항암제에 의해 유발된 조혈모세포 집락군의 감소를 현저하게 회복시키고, 항암제를 복강 주사하여 골수억제를 유도한 동물 모델에서 항암제에 의한 골수억제가 현저하게 회복되는 효과가 있다는 것을 확인하였다.따라서 본원 발명의 노근 추출물은 항암제 부작용에 의한 질환의 예방, 개선 및 치료용 조성물로 유용하게 이용될 수 있으며, 항암 보조제로 항암제와 병용처방하여 항암제의 효과를 상승시킬 가능성이 있는 것이다.
