A multidirectional play and exercise apparatus for animals is provided having a flexible pole, a sleeve encasing the pole, an attachment member coupled with or formed as part of the sleeve, and a base. The sleeve may be secured around the pole and be contiguous with the attachment member. The attachment member may be configured to receive a toy, or other item that encourages an animal to engage in play and/or exercise. The base allows the apparatus to freely rotate therein, thereby facilitating multidirectional play.
