PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fin for a swimming device in a living body not reducing propelling efficiency even in the case of reducing the size of the same.
SOLUTION: The fin 13 has a fin portion 15 and a joint portion 14 movably connecting the fin portion 15 to a body portion 12, a capsule type endoscope 4 swims by the vibration of the fin portion 15 generated by the joint portion 14 vibrating, the fin portion 15 is comprised of the material with Youngs modulus greater or bending rigidity higher than those of the joint portion 14. Accordingly, the propelling efficiency of the capsule type endoscope is enhanced and the miniaturization of the fin 13 can be attained.
