This invention relates to improvements in therapeutic neurological and neuropsychic treatments using acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. More specifically, the invention enables the effects of the reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor donepezil to be potentiated by certain molecules, referred to here as connexin-blocking agents.
