PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound dressing of continuous fibers.SOLUTION: A method for treating a wound includes incorporating a wound dressing 100 which comprises a plurality of fibers each having a length of at least 2 inches, into a wound w to cause walls of the wound to remain apart and allow the wound to heal from the inside to the outside, and removing a wound exudate. A wound dressing apparatus is configured to promote healing of a wound, and may be used in conjunction with an NWPT system 24.
