PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave detection device capable of finely detecting a change in pressing force of a subject applied to a detection part.SOLUTION: A pulse wave detection device 1 includes a retainer plate 13 disposed in contact with a support part 14A and a pressure sensor 15. Then, a light-receiving part 11 and a light-emitting part 12 are provided on the left side as one end side, the support part 14A faces the retainer plate 13 disposed on the right side as the other end side, and the pressure sensor 15 is disposed on a left-side end side with respect to the position where the light-receiving part 11 and the light-emitting part 12 are disposed.
