PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface sheet having excellent wearing property and liquid absorption speed when being used for an absorbent article, and having excellent liquid draining property in the surface sheet for absorbent articles.SOLUTION: The surface sheet for absorbent articles according to the present invention, includes: a nonwoven fabric consisting of staples granular gel compositions stuck to the staples and having a hydrophobic property and a dispersion area in which the granular gel compositions are present in a dispersed state, formed on a surface in a skin surface side of the surface sheet.
