PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article whose leakproof walls soltly fit to skin and which has a high leakproof effect.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes: a body 5 having a back side portion A, a crotch portion C, and a stomach side portion B in a longitudinal direction X and a pair of leakproof walls 6, 6 continuously arranged respectively on both sides of the body 5 in the longitudinal direction X. The leakproof walls 6 are constituted by including: base wall portions 11 where inner edges 11A along the longitudinal direction X of the body 5 are raised toward the skin of a wearer in wearing at least in the crotch portion C and elastic portions 12 connected to the inner edges 11A of the base wall portions 11 and including multiple elastic members 15a, 15b arranged in an extension state in the longitudinal direction X. The rising inhibition portions 60 of the leakproof walls 6 are formed respectively in the back side portion A and the stomach side portion B by fixing the elastic portions 12 to the body 5 while being bent toward the inner surfaces 11a side of the base wall portions 11. The crotch portion C has parts where the elastic portions 12 are not fixed to the inner surfaces 11a of the base wall portions 11.
