Disclosed is a paper diaper (1) provided with an absorbent main part (10) and an exterior covering part (20) that has a stomach-side section (F) and a back-side section (B) also, a crotch section (M) is formed between a pair of left and right leg openings (L). The absorbent main part (10) is provided in at least the crotch section (M) of the exterior covering part (20). The exterior covering part (20) is provided with: a plurality of leg elastic members (26) disposed so as to extend from joining edges (21, 22) in the stomach-side section (F) and the back-side section (B), along the rims of the leg openings (L), to the crotch section (M) and a plurality of crotch elastic members (27) disposed in at least some areas of the crotch section (M), running from the edge of one leg opening (L) to the edge of the other leg opening (L), roughly parallel to each other and separated in the long direction of the paper diaper (1) by a prescribed distance. This allows the exterior covering part to maintain a good fit around the legs, regardless of movements while the diaper is being worn.
