PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant composition which has an antioxidative potential comparable to that of ethoxyquin or BHT, is inexpensive, ensures such a level of safety as to enable use in foods and cosmetics, and does not affect the growth of livestock and poultry.SOLUTION: The antioxidant composition contains a distillate of a vegetable oil as an active ingredient, and when it is added to foods, feeds, cosmetics or agricultural chemicals, oxidation of these can be prevented. When feeds to which the antioxidant composition has been added is fed to livestock or poultry, oxidation of obtained meat can be inhibited.【課題】エトキシキンやＢＨＴに匹敵する抗酸化能を有し、安価であり、食品や化粧品にも使用できるレベルの安全性があり、家畜や家禽の成長に影響を及ぼさない抗酸化組成物を提供すること。【解決手段】植物油蒸留留出物を有効成分として含有する抗酸化組成物は、食品、飼料、化粧品または農薬に添加することによりこれらの酸化を防止することができる。また、当該抗酸化組成物を添加した飼料を家畜または家禽に給餌することにより、得られる食肉の酸化を抑制することができる。【選択図】なし
