PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting mechanism that ensures safety for an assisted person in a wheel chair when the person gets on or off the vehicle and also reduce burden on an operator.SOLUTION: A lighting unit for illuminating the upper surface of a boarding mechanism of slope type, lift type, or the like is provided. In a case where the boarding mechanism is in a stretched position, an illumination control section automatically turns on a lamp in S12. A line illumination unit is provided to display a traffic line for an appropriate movement path for a wheelchair. An edge lamp disposed at the rear end of a slide door is turned on or off in step S20 when getting on or off the vehicle takes place, thereby alerting the drivers of other vehicle approaching from behind. A room illumination lamp and a foot illumination lamp are also automatically turned on when getting on or off the vehicle takes place. When getting on or off the vehicle is finished, the lamps are automatically turned off. Thus, safety when getting on or off takes place in a dark environment is ensured by the upper-surface illumination of the boarding mechanism, and alerting other vehicles is securely carried out by illumination at the rear end of the slide door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
