PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator which supplies highly-concentrated ions under a high humidity environment including dusts, and to provide an electric device.SOLUTION: A discharge electrode 31 is supported by a substrate 21. A lead electrode 41 is supported by the substrate 21 so as to be spaced away from the discharge electrode 31 and generates ions between itself and the discharge electrode 31. A housing 10 houses the substrate 21 and the lead electrode 41. A through hole 11 which exposes the discharge electrode 31 to an exterior part is formed in the housing 10. A closing material 51 closes a space having the shortest distance from among a space between the lead electrode 41 and the housing 10 and a space between the lead electrode 41 and the substrate 21.
