PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a possibility that a matching liquid spreads and contaminates the inside of an apparatus through contact of the matching liquid with opposing members such as a support member and a reinforcing member.SOLUTION: An object information acquisition apparatus includes: a holding member holding an object to be inspected a probe unit which includes a transducer for receiving acoustic waves and a housing for storing the transducer, and which can scan the holding member and opposing members provided at an upper position relative to an area that is scannable with the probe unit.
