The invention relates to a low fat whippable non-diary cream (NDC) with a fat content from about 10 to about 25% (w/w) based on the NDC product, comprising an aqueous phase comprising at least an oat base in an amount from about 50 to about 90% (w/w) based on the NDC product, a fat phase comprising at least fat and an emulsifier, the emulsifier being in an amount below 1.2% (w/w) based on the NDC product. The invention also relates to a process for the production of the whippable non-diary cream.
