The present invention relates to a novel use of a chromone derivative as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating fibrosis by using an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) inhibitory activity thereof, and more specifically, since it has been newly discovered that the chromone derivative of the present invention may inhibit EMT, the present invention relates to a novel use of the chromone derivative as a preventive and therapeutic agent for fibrosis using such activity thereof. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention contains a chromone derivative represented by chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient, and thus may effectively inhibit EMT activation, and accordingly, may effectively inhibit organ or tissue fibrosis induced by EMT activation. The present invention may especially enable restoring a cell that has already undergone fibrosis to the original normal state thereof, and thus may be used not only for preventing fibrosis or responding thereto at an early-stage, but also for treating symptoms at a middle-stage or end-stage at which fibrosis has progressed.La présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation d'un dérivé de chromone en tant que composition pharmaceutique pour prévenir et traiter une fibrose au moyen d'une activité inhibitrice de transition épithélio-mésenchymateuse (EMT) de celui-ci et, plus spécifiquement, étant donné qu'il a été désormais découvert que le dérivé de chromone de la présente invention peut inhiber l'EMT, la présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation du dérivé de chromone en tant qu'agent préventif et thérapeutique pour la fibrose au moyen d'une telle activité de celui-ci.
