The present invention relates to a new method for improving glyphosate resistance of a plant. The method encompasses providing one or more specific mutations in a specific nucleotide sequence in said plant. In comparison to a plant not manipulated according to the method, the plant obtained by the method displays (improved) glyphosate resistance. Also provided are a (transgenic) plant, including a seed thereof, and a plant product that can be obtained by the method according to the invention.La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé pour améliorer la résistance d'une plante au glyphosate. Le procédé comprend la production d'une ou plusieurs mutations spécifiques dans une séquence nucléotidique spécifique, dans ladite plante. Par rapport à une plante non manipulée selon le procédé, la plante obtenue par le procédé présente une résistance (améliorée) au glyphosate. La présente invention concerne en outre une plante (transgénique), y compris une graine de celle-ci, et un produit végétal qui peut être obtenu par le procédé selon l'invention.
