A blind assistance system and a method thereof are provided. A mini unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flies along an expected movement of the blind, keeps in front of the blind, photographs a front image of the blind and transmits the front image, a current flying speed and a current position thereof to a monitoring device, and a smart wearable device worn on the blind transmits a current position of the blind and a current moving speed to the monitoring device, so that the monitoring device controls the mini UAV to maintain a predetermined distance range from the blind and transmits a sound signal to the smart wearable device to play to provide a prompt for obstacles in front of the blind and a movement direction. Therefore, the blind assistance system and the method thereof can help the blind to find a way in an unfamiliar environment to avoid getting lost or walking the wrong way.一種盲人輔助系統及其方法,透過可攜式無人飛行載具沿著盲人的預計移動軌跡飛行且保持位在盲人的前方位置,並拍攝盲人的前方影像及傳輸前方影像、其當前飛行速度與其當前位置予監控裝置,配戴於盲人上的智慧穿戴裝置傳輸盲人的當前位置與當前移動速度予監控裝置,使得監控裝置控制可攜式無人飛行載具,使其與盲人之間保持預定距離範圍,並傳輸聲音信號予智慧穿戴裝置播放,以提供盲人其前方障礙物與移動方向的提示。因此,盲人輔助系統及其方法可協助盲人於陌生環境中找路,以避免盲人迷路或走錯路。
