<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile body with high operability and a method for controlling the same. <；P>；SOLUTION: This mobile body 1 includes: a passenger seat 8 where a passenger gets on board； an undercarriage 13 for supporting the passenger seat 8； wheels 6 for moving the undercarriage 13； a force sensor 9 outputting a measurement value according to a force applied to a boarding face of the passenger seat 8； a sensor processing section 53 calculating an input value according to a moment about a yawing axis based on the measurement value from the force sensor 9； and a control calculation section 51 outputting a command value for actuating the wheels 6 to move forward or backward in accordance with a code of the input value at a moving speed according to the absolute value of the input value.
