PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for maintaining preservability of mushrooms after harvesting by using nitrogen ice, and prevention of deterioration of mushrooms.SOLUTION: Mushrooms such as shiitake, maitake, tamogitake, and matsutake are contained in a container or bag molded of vinylidene chloride resin or pyrrole resin or the like, having favorable shielding performance to nitrogen. In the container or bag, nitrogen ice enclosed in a container or bag of polyolefin having favorable nitrogen diffusing performance is put.
