A mixed-before-use-type, two-liquid ophthalmic preparation is disclosed consisting of a pirenoxine-containing suspension and a solvent. As compared with those conventional types of ophthalmic preparations with which a tablet or granules containing pirenoxine are dissolved in a solvent before use, the present ophthalmic preparation is characterized in that it reduces the time required to dissolve pirenoxine, as well as in that it can give a clear eyedrops with weakly acidic to practically neutral pH, a pH which is physiologically acceptable, after dissolution of pirenoxine.
