PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism that detects displacement or distortion of images due to movements or blinking of the subject eye and easily determines an accuracy of optical tomographic images while photographing the eye by means of an optical coherence tomograph.

SOLUTION: An image processing section 252 acquires information showing a continuity of tomographic images of the subject eye. A determination section 253 determines a photographic state of the subject eye on the basis of the information acquired by the image processing section 252.
