PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loads on a hardware configuration of a processor device accompanying positioning processing, and to display oxygen saturation images as moving images without flickering.SOLUTION: A white image W, a spectral image PB2, and a spectral image PB3 are acquired at different imaging timings. Among a blue spectral image PB1 in the white image W, the spectral image PB2 and the spectral image PB3, simple positioning is performed. On the basis of a luminance ratio among the spectral images for which the simple positioning is performed, a provisional temporary oxygen saturation is calculated. A second storage table 64c stores correspondence of a signal ratio of the white image W and the oxygen saturation beforehand. The correspondence in the second storage table 64c is updated every time the temporary oxygen saturation is calculated. By using the updated second storage table 64c and the signal ratio of the white image W, an oxygen saturation image is generated.
