PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of moving the visual field over a wide range even when used in a narrow space.SOLUTION: The endoscope comprises: an insertion section 5 configured to be bendable, and extend from a base end 5a to an idle end 5b a first power transmission member (control wires 20) which is fixed in the side of the idle end 5b, and transmits an operation force caused in the side of the base end 5a toward the side of the idle end 5b as a tractive force so as to bend the insertion section 5 a functional member (imaging unit 6a) pivoted in the side of the idle end 5b and a second power transmission member (spring joint 21) which transmits an operation force caused in the side of the base end 5a toward the side of the idle end 5b as a rotational force so as to displace the functional member. The first power transmission member and second power transmission member extend from the base end 5a to the idle end 5b through a hollow section 5c of the insertion section 5.
