The present invention relates to an extract of a natural substance having an anti-inflammatory activity and, more specifically, to an extract of Asarum sieboldii, a natural medicinal herb, prepared by using an alcohol to have an anti-inflammatory activity. The present invention provides an Asarum sieboldii extract having an anti-inflammatory activity, which is obtained by collecting and drying Asarum sieboldii and then extracting an essence from the dried Asarum sieboldii with water or an alcohol. In addition, the present invention provides the Asarum sieboldii extract having an anti-inflammatory activity, which is extracted through the following processes: adding 5-15 g of Asarum sieboldii to 80% alcohol and then making an extraction for 2-4 hours under reflux to obtain a filtrate concentrating the filtrate under reduced pressure in a rotary vacuum evaporator freeze-drying the concentrated solution with a freeze dryer to obtain a powder and diluting the freeze-dried powder with distilled water to necessary concentration.
