PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of adjusting the positions of three-dimensional gathers while the absorbent article is applied to a wearer, and capable of effectively preventing leakage of urine from the absorbent article.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes an absorber 22 a top sheet 18 a back sheet 20 three-dimensional gathers 26a and 26b disposed on at least both sides of the absorber 22 and belt-shaped tension members 71a and 71b whose one ends 71x and 71y are fixed at least to the pair of right and left three-dimensional gathers 26a and 26b respectively and whose other ends 71p and 71q are extended outward from side edges of the absorber 22. The other ends 71p and 71q of the tension members 71a and 71b are extended further to the outside of the side edges of the back sheet 18 from outside of the side edges of the absorber 22. The other ends 71p and 71q of the tension members 71a and 71b can be stretched with the absorbent article 1 applied to the wearer.
