PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical material, especially used for a surgical drape or a surgical gown, which prevents lint or fuzz, has no glossiness, is light in weight, and has waterproof effect and liquid absorbency, and to provide a drape.SOLUTION: The surgical material is formed by laminating a polyolefin-based film and spunbonded nonwoven fabric. The surgical material uses the spunbonded nonwoven fabric configured so that the total area of thermal bonding parts each having area of 0.15 to 0.50 mm2, is 5 to 15% of the whole of the spunbonded nonwoven fabric.
