Various embodiments of the present technology generally relate to stereotaxic devices. More specifically some embodiments relate to a robotic stereotaxic platform with computer vision to automatically and accurately position an animal subject into the proper position for a surgical procedure. A surgical procedure is required to precisely place electrodes, injection pipettes, optical fibers, or other device inside an animal subjects brain nucleus or other region of the brain to test functioning or experimentally manipulating the brain, or inside another part of the body. Improving the success rate of these surgical procedures reduces investigator time, reduces expenditure of supplies, and promotes scientific discovery resulting in better treatments for patients.Divers modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent, de manière générale, des dispositifs stéréotaxiques. Plus spécifiquement, certains modes de réalisation concernent une plate-forme stéréotaxique robotique à vision artificielle pour positionner, automatiquement et avec précision, un sujet animal dans la position appropriée pour une intervention chirurgicale. Une intervention chirurgicale est nécessaire pour placer avec précision des électrodes, des pipettes d'injection, des fibres optiques ou un autre dispositif à l'intérieur d'un noyau cérébral d'un sujet animal ou d'une autre région du cerveau pour évaluer le fonctionnement ou la manipulation expérimentale du cerveau, ou à l'intérieur d'une autre partie du corps.
